About Me
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with over 15 years of experience in independent practice. I provide psychotherapy services to adults, clinical supervision to other mental health providers, as well as clinical training workshops to other practices and organizations.
I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from York University, a program accredited through the Canadian Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. I interned in the Department of Psychiatry at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, accredited by the American Psychological Association. I then completed a clinical and research Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard with the Victims of Violence Program under the supervision of Dr. Judith Herman.
In addition to my private practice work, I have previously worked in community-based settings, as contract faculty, and as a clinician in a teaching hospital where I received awards for Excellence in Psychology Leadership and Exceptional Contribution to Psychology. During my hospital-based tenure, I was also Internship Director for a period, overseeing APPIC training of the hospital’s psychology interns and the hospital’s reaccreditation of the internship program by the Canadian Psychological Association. Over the years, I supervised a number of trainees, at the practicum level, for internship, and for the year of Supervised Practice.
